Nodiau’r modiwl yw cyflwyno cymdeithaseg plentyndod. Mae’r modiwl yn cyflwyno rhai o’r prif ddamcaniaethau, themau a dulliau ymholi, ochr yn ochr a dadleuon a materion cyfoes. Nod y modiwl yn ymgyfarwyddo newid mewn cymdeithseg o astudio’r ‘teulu’ i astudio ‘plentyndod’. Mae’r cwrs yn cyflwyno’r derminoleg a’r fethodoleg berthnasol i astudiaeth gymdeithasegol o blentyndod.
The aims of the module are to introduce the sociology of childhood. The module presents some of the main theories, themes and methods of enquiry, alongside contemporary debates and issues. The module aims to familiarise the shift in sociology from the study of ‘the family’ to the study of ‘childhood’. The course introduces the relevant terminology and methodology to sociological study of childhood.
